Specialties
How many clinics are registered under each specialty in Taiwan?
The MOHW classifies clinic registrations in two levels: three facility types (Western medicine, dental and TCM clinics), and within them 45 registrable specialties (24 Western medicine, 12 dental and 9 TCM, each group including one “general” category). A clinic can be registered under several specialties and is counted once in each, so specialty counts add up to more than the number of clinics. The figures on this page are the year-end series 2012–2025 (14 years) from the MOHW Department of Statistics clinic-specialty statistics, data.gov.tw dataset 6477.

“n/a” means the specialty was not a reported category that year (dental specialties in 2020 and 2021; dental implantology before 2024); it does not mean zero clinics.
Some specialties have no dedicated page even in Chinese; their links point to a section of a topic page.
All linked pages are in Chinese. Specialty names follow the MOHW registration categories; the English names are commonly used translations
